This thick protein-packed drink gets tanginess from cottage cheese. If you prefer, you can also substitute plain or flavored yogurt.

When you're looking for an alternate protein source, cottage cheese is a good choice. One half cup has almost as much protein as 2 ounces of meat.

  • 1/3 cup cottage cheese or plain yogurt

  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream 

  • 1/4 cup prepared fruit-flavored gelatin (can use individual ready-to-eat snack pack)

  • 1/4 cup low-fat milk
